Optometrists
Virginia Henry
Virginia Henry is a Fellow of The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometry (ACBO). Virginia has been a qualified optometrist for 30 years & holds a fellowship in Behavioural Optometry and says it is at the forefront of vision enhancement.
Behavioural Optometry is particularly useful for children with vision-related learning difficulties, sports vision and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
Virginia said "Current research indicates that some people with reading difficulties have had co-existing visual and language processing deficits for years, and for this reason, a vision examination that assesses those factors influencing learning is vital."
Virginia has been a business partner in a group optometry practice in Townsville for around 15 years and another practice for 5 years at the same time.
Virginia attends regular continuing education in various fields of optometry and practice management. ACBO members continually research and develop new techniques in behavioural practice management i.e. therapy programs and pricing schedules.
